212GREEN is a unique musical ensemble composed of three siblings born and raised in Harlem, NYC. They grew up surrounded by all types of music, so it was no shock to their friends and family when they immersed themselves in classical piano, guitar, dance and vocal lessons at an early age. They are a product of two environments; our early childhood spent in the East Village and everything after that in West Harlem. Growing up with the entire island of Manhattan as our backyard has allowed us to see everything from the inner-city streets all the way to the multimillion dollar skyscrapers. Creating our band, 212GREEN was a natural progression for us with our love of music and wanting to write, sing and perform it!
Band member Kyra Green participated in CBS's Love Island season 1 as an original cast member. She caused enough drama to be written about in major press articles, and she is still continuing to be interviewed about her time in the Villa. As well as Tori Green hosting the Worldstar Hip Hop segment 'Relationship Advice' massing over 30 million views and counting.
We write and produce all of our music in our at-home recording studio, sometimes sharing the process with co-writers or co-producers. Riley creates the instrumental portion (instruments and beats), raps and produces the tracks, Kyra Develops the melodies and Tori writes the lyrics and harmonies. But we all have a hand in the entire process.
Why the name, 212GREEN?: We are proud to represent both being native New Yorkers and our family. (212) is the original NYC area code and Green is our Surname.
